oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Aug 15, 2007 Bottled (Thanks Rastacouere!). Orange colour, huge white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, malty and slightly earthy. Flavour is fruits, yeast, spices and earth. Quite sweet earthy. Not very saisonic in my opinion. Also has lots of juniper as it warmed up a bit. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Feb 8, 2008 Bottle, 7%. Quite yeasty aroma, but nice like freshly-baked bread. Cloudy orange colour, small white head. The flavour starts off very nice with a refreshing citric fruitiness and good mouthfeel. The finish is a little less interesting and with some rough malt notes. But a quite OK beer. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 10, 2007 A dramatic pour, the beer is murky orange, enormously effervescent and culminates in a gigantic off-white foam that toys with different shapes. Very yeasty upfront with soured bread and peppery notes, the coriander also intrudes in. Surprisingly, in mouth, the flavour differs a lot from the nose as the juniper dominates and showcases the obvious focus on spiciness. All along, the product remains quite sweet and certainly wastes no time at offering some sense of hoppy, bitter balance. Long spicy finish ensues and meddles with the intruding, penetrating extremely strong carbonation. When keeping the beer in mouth for a few seconds, it dies off and becomes some kind of creamy foam. Truly belgian in that regard, but sweet and spices appear a bit abusive and ultimately boring. I could not drink more than one bottle. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 11, 2007 Updated: Jun 14, 2007Bottle. Not bad. Some citric acidity and peppery alcohol are the things i notice on the first sip, then i got some white grape, and white pepper again. The carbonation is a little bit much, quite fizzy indeed. Finish is bitter, with some alcohol noticed. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England May 15, 2007 Updated: Jul 21, 2008Bottle at Reading BF 2007. Hazy copper with lasting off white head. Bit syrupy, bit estery, bit of bubblegum and Belgian yeast. I had this down as 7%. Also I think this brewery should make a beer called Stardust in memory of the great 70s glam rock musician Alvin Stardust. 3.1 Re-rate Twickenham Brewery tasting 08. Excellent hoppy yeasty saison. That’s pretty lovely.
