zeke626 (194), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Apr 28, 2008 Thanks to JK for sharing. Bottle, pours a cloudy yellow body with white head along with some sediment. Aroma of yeast and malts. Medium bodied with flavors of citrus and fruit. Slightly tart aftertaste.
Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 26, 2008 Sampled at BDR’s tasting and shared by JK. Pours a semi-hazy golden pale brew with a thin white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and ring. Aroma of tried yeast, some barnyard funk, smoked wood, a wet leather blanket with some hint of hard fruits. Taste is medium bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of dried yeast, some citrus zest, especially lemon zest, a touch of dry spice and some banana. Finish is slightly tart with a mild yeast and fruit aftertaste. OSLO (590), Minnesota, USA May 4, 2008 [Bottle, thanks JK!] Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has a lot of yeast with almost a smokiness, and a hint of fruit. Taste is a little sour with a lot of yeast and once again a hint of fruitiness. I didn’t get the spice that some of the others were getting. Medium mouthfeel with an average finish. A very unusual saison, but not too bad. JK (2369), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2008 Cloudy yellow and thick. Sweet and kind of sour. Some yeast, but not really the barnyard character. Some fruit, and spice. I like this quite a bit. Purchased in Belgium, March 2007 and aged 1 year. BDR (1850), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2008 Thanks to JK for hauling this back from belgian on his back. Foamy white head on the straw colored body. Light berry aroma. Fruity flavor too with a little earthiness. No yeast funk, but good nonetheless.
