Pour out of bottle, thanks to Aaron! Hazy dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought dark fruit, roast, chocolate, coffee, hints of grainy, earthy, husky, slight tart notes as well. Taste was a mix of roast, ash, coffee, lots of anise, dark fruit, touch of grainy notes, finishing bitter.

Rotbox offering via Papsœ. Thanks ! Pours a deep brown / black appearance with a very thin brown head. Somewhat ashy / smoky, coffee, dark chocolate, very roasty aroma. Dull carbonation. Kind of dusty. Lots of coffee and anise. A bit earthy. Dusty. Sat on this one probably too long.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Brown pour. Medium sized slowly changing light beige colored foamy head on top of a deep dark almost black colored beer with a dark ruby shine that comes through. Aromas of coffee, chalk, some barley malts, some chocolate, some espresso/coffee beans. Flavours of chalk, nuts, toast, bitters, light dry, autumnal leaves, some coffee, some chocolate, slightest hint of liquorice and some dried leaves and there’s some toasted hay in the background. Bit thin and close to being unbalanced. Aftertaste is a mix of chalk, bitter, toast/roast, light dry and some chocolate malts. Low carbo, mouthfeel between watery and creamy, medium thin bodied and a light creamy texture. Very thin and a tad unbalanced.

50 cl bottle @ wPBF, BBE 30.04.2014
Aroma has mocha and jalopeno‐like vegetables typical to coffee beers. Flavour has quite the same elements, but also some dark chocolate and hints of salty licorice. Despite though the vegetable notes this is good.
