COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full mash Australian pale ale from Perth’s Nail Brewing uses Crystal malt and Pride of Ringwood hops and came to us highly regarded by those who’d samples it from the pint glass as a draught. Rightly so too, Bursting with coppery hues in the glass, it goes hammer and tongs from the get-go with big lemon and lime wafts nicely anchored with some malt ballast.

The only Australian Pale ale to win gold at the AIBA 2009.

Hazy amber, aroma is a bit toasty, w mild malts. Earthy/crackery character. Well-made and well-balanced beer if lacking in hop brightness.

Bottle. Cloudy golden amber with a massive chalk white head (may have been due to the frosted glass). Grassy leafy hop aroma, a little yeasty. Sweet, softly yeasty palate with grassy hop notes. Pleasant but not overly complex.

nfob03. australia's best beer according to some guy who liked it so much he rated it ten times. actually not too bad, some vanilla in the malt and trace of english mango cordial. quite bitter but the pride of ringwood isn't overwhelming

On tap at the Sail & Anchor, Fremantle 7/04/2012. Amber with a slight white head. Aroma of citrus hops and biscuit malts. Flavour had more of the same, with a slightly yeasty edge and bitter finish. Good.

Tap- pretty nice. Malts a lightly sweet, bland for the most part. Hops are bitter, citrusy and at times tea-like. Nice dry bitter finish, definitely not as bad as i thought it might be.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2007 Copper gold colour and short head was the first impression of this W.A. beer. Wasn’t sure if you could term it a pale ale or something else (bitter!). Strong aroma of hops, good texture, moderate bitterness and long finish.

Tap at Sail & Anchor. Pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma was quite subdued even as it warmed. Slight citrus - lots of lemon, leafy hops and yeast. Citrus comes out to make up the bulk of the taste. Decent enough, good quaffer

Bottle, 10C. Cloudy pale amber with a white head. Aroma of lime leaf, weeds, biscuit. Light bodied, too fizzy. Sweet biscuit, moderate bitterness, really pretty dry at the end. Very Australian lime/ grass/ weeds. Old fashioned but good.
