Right up my street - low malt - hop forward - decent fruitiness - almost APA profile - so easy to smash back - most enjoyable of the Nail brews for me - great summer ale.

Very dry and crisp. Some fruit but otherwise a story around sharp aniseed. Ultra refreshing.

Draught at Frankie’s Pizza, Sydney, on October 13, 2015.
Fruity, malty taste. Light fruity, malty aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfel, medium low bitterness. Golden color, off-white head. Malty, a bit fruity scent.

From bottle in Belgian Ale glass. Poured slighty cloudy (decanted some of yeast sediment). Modest but pleasant initial hop aroma increased as the beer warmed. More bitter than most "summer" ales, notes of passionfruit and butterscotch. Nice for a hot day.

From a 330ml bottle on 21/2/2015. Pours a clearish medium golden with a huge rocky white head. Has a modest fruity aroma with yeast Take a swig and it’s mainly citrus fruit, with not much in the way of malt. Has a definite vinous character to it, and presents more like a saison than a golden ale to me. Medium bodied with lively carbonation (perhaps a touch too much). I note this is quite well regarded on here, but it didn’t do a lot for me.

Bottle from bws, broadbeach. Hazy dark golden color, white head. Aroma is nicely hoppy, fruity and some flowers. Taste is also nicely fruity, hoppy and malty. Good balance.

My kind of beer , golden ale non pasturised so great fresh aliveness. I can see how others would say it's lacking a bit in flavor but I loved it. Like an Italian craft no hints of Belgian silliness. Great light summer drinker good on the carbonation little bit floral and very light passion fruit.

Pale Amber with big fluffy head. Hoppy aroma and flavor, light bitter finish. Big hop character here. Nice summer quaffer. Could be classed as a APA or an IPA.

Big finger and a half of foaming head over an orange glowing bottom. Citrus and sweet phenyls. Very nice ale in deed.

On tap at the rotto hotel! Pours golden with a finger of head. Aroma is subtle with plenty of citrus, grass and passion fruit characters. It's fairly light bodied with low to moderate carbonation. Taste is similar to the aroma with plenty of passion fruit and grassy notes. Great golden ale!

The most dominant smell is the ale yeast. The head is thick and foamy and the colour is a wonderful yellow, but the aroma, ohh the aroma, what a letdown! The taste is average at best. It tastes like traditional beer, bitter at the start that mellows after a couple of seconds, but there is no malt depth nor hop character. If you are used to sessioning VB or XXXX then this is your first, tiny step into the craft beer world. It is similar to the very safe James Squire 150 Lashes, only weaker.
