Yep, that’s right. Our 8 percent imperial brown ale is available all year long because we love it THAT much. Dedicated to Australian brewing legend Hugh Dunn.
A rich and strong brown ale loaded with complex malt characters and fruity esters with a warming finish.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2016 Bottle: 330ml. Served at room temperature. Pours a hazy dark brown (almost black). Head is small, foamy and tanned; mostly diminishing with no lace. Aroma is strong, sweet and malty with rummy fruitcake, dark chocolate, burnt toffee and hints of coffee. Flavour is rich, smooth and malty with rum and raisin chocolate, coffee, caramelized dates, hints of liquorice and a light earthy bitterness. Full bodied with soft carbonation, an oily texture and a long finish. Amazing stuff!

2014 release, aroma is very light, mildly wet cardboard, but then the taste is rich and figgy with a warming alcohol sweetness. Pleasant amber brown colour. Will have another of those

At Keg & Brew, Surry Hills. Muddy looking light brown. Medium head. Lots of alcohol. Minimal nutty character and otherwise a blast of alcohol and sweet F all else.

Pours practically black with quickly dissipating head. Too dark for a brown ale but I like it that way. Aroma is subdued but toasty with a faint herbal hint. The flavour is sublime. Rich burnt toffee, faint fig, and again, something very faintly herbal. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle from warners at the bay; quite a frothy, lightly hazed brown; aroma of caramel, hints of whiteboard markers; some alcohol showing, pleasant salted caramel flavours and decent rounding bitterness; curious and not bad

330mL bottle. Pour a deep rich dark chocolate brown with an amazing sweet toffee molasses aroma. A rich sweet toffee flavour with some nutty molasses notes. I’d have to say this was one of the best brown ales I’ve ever had.
