Dark malts provide a coffee chocolate sweetness on the front of the palate which is balanced with Goldings hop bitterness on the back. Rolled oats provide a smooth medium body. The Flavour changes down the glass. Is top fermented and bottled conditioned (yeast sediment). 2008 Gold Medal winner, best stout packaged and draught and BEST WA BEER at 2008 Perth Royal Beer Show (PRBS). Also Gold Medal and best stout at 2008 Sydney Royal Beer Competition (SRBC), and 2009 International Beer Challenge gold medal winner.

Don’t know why but wasn’t expecting to much from this and was pleasantly surprised. The booziness shines through the lovely smooth chocaletiness. Possibly slightly too sweet.

Almost black pour with a thin, quickly fading tan head. Sweetish, roasty, cocoa and a little liquorice on the nose. Taste is sweetish, dark chocolate, roast, coffee. Nice

Head doesnt hang around. Upfront sweetness quickly controlled by well balanced bitterness and burnt coffee finish that lingers. Great oatmeal stout, one of the best i have had ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark with a pretty stingy white head. Aroma is a nice mix of malts, chocolate and a slight pine note. Taste is very much chocolate malts finish is slightly bitter but a bit weak and watery. Solid but nothing special.

Small, but dense beige head on the pour. Subdued aroma leads into mild sweet stout territory, very creamy, more milk chocolate than dark. Very gentle dark roast grains here, nothing biting or lingering.

Light floral aroma, pours black with a light brown head, good balance with a mix of coffee and chocolate with a lasting bitter aftertaste, warming, sticky medium bodied stout.

Pours black, tiny head fades fast. Coffee and roasty aroma. Not sweet, not too bitter. Appropriately soft carbonation. somewhat light bodied. This is a nice standard stout. But I would always pay the extra $1 to get their superb imperial porter instead.
