Dark brown, nice head. Aroma hints at a rich, fudgey balanced brew. Full body, creamy and delicious. Sweet accent, just enough hop. Really nice stout.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s Kook Fest tasting.
Black body with a good tan head. A nice chocolate fronted stout with a good hit of roasty coffee and a strangely floral note. And erm... that’s it. Nice enough, just doesn’t do much.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Very dark brown, thin brown cap. Aromas of soy sauce and coffee. Burnt malt bitterness, rich and robust coffee and chocolate flavours. Bitter dry finish. Surprised that this is categorized as a sweet stout, but delicious nonetheless.

i have to agree score-wise with my afghani co-rater. pretty black, light lagery texture, chocolate cake dough aroma. some rum'n'raisin flavour in there, the dark malts are quite subdued. a shame it has lost its briefly-held status as the world's best stout

Bottle at chris_o’s "smash Kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Sweet roasty maly, bit of chocolate, syrupy yet thin(that doesnt make sence), near no hop. But a nice drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not bad. Bit sweet though. Sweet mollasses and chocolate at the start, finish is roasty and bitter, but still sweet. Some tarryness in their aswell. Not too bad. Was hoping that it would score higher given the hype ;)

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle sent to me my Mulder, drank from a tulip... A dark brown body, nothing of note. The head is medium tan, about two fingers rises and leave a full finger cap for several minutes. Ok lacing... Right away I don’t get much out of this weak head so I give it a couple minutes to open up. Even as it warms, still not much comes through. The front gives off a very small bit of chocolate, a touch of smoke, then you get a weird body aroma. As bad as that sounds its not horrendous, primarily weak and boring... The taste is much stronger but the taste and mouthfeel are distracting. Its very ashy, charred ash, harsh. Some stale coffee and prunes. This is not very good... The mouthfeel is off, over-carbonated and dry is not a good combination.
My first impression of Australian craft, not off to a great start. I we go up from here.

Black in colour with a light brown small but lasting head. Good mix of chocolate milky coffee and some roasted flavours. Smooth chalky texture make this a good WA made stout.
