Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottle conditioned, Special;
The 'Large Blue Beer' was brewed to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Daneway Banks Nature Reserve. The reserve became famous in 2002 as a site for the reintroduced large blue butterfly which had previously become extinct in the late 1970's.

Cask-conditioned at the Village Inn, Nailsworth 28/6/08. Amber with a decent white head. Fruity malt and grassy hop aroma. Light mouth feel, with some sweetish malt, citrus hops and a decent bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle, 500ml. A cloudy golden colour with a lot of yeast sediment and almost no head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with a hint of malt and yeast. Taste is hoppy with malt, yeast, caramel and a hint of citrus. A somewhat bitter finish. Light carbonation. A nice brew that stands out from the crowd.
