COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English style old ale made with Lyle’s Black Treacle Syrup and then “dry-hopped” with Washington cherries, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves. Definitely enough to keep you toasty warm during the cold days!

Draft at Brewpub in Greenwood. During the Seahawks’ victory. Dark leathery brown, slight sweet aroma. Deep ale, wintery. Definitely some spice coming through. Nutmeg. Soft cherry light on finish. Chocolate yeast. Pie, bread.

Draft at NCBC. Pours near-black with nose head, just a little scant rim of gray. Slight drippy lace. Mildly spicy nose, showing the mulling seasonings. Creamy body, near flat. Slight roasty quality, in a pastry crust way. The mulled cider seasonings show predominant Cherry tartness lurks in the background, nicely coherent with the rest of the profile. Mild finish. Nice holiday beer.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice big alcohol and fruity like aromas. Light spice and big malt flavors. The hops blend well and the fruit comes out nicely. This is a super big alcohol beer.

Tap at Naked City. The aroma on this is just incredible. Sour cherries mashed in with cinnamon and clove. Dark yet clear ruby red pour. Flavor is based around the nose, malty up front, thick in the middle, and very well balanced in the cherry department. It’s just right really. The cinnamon/clove takes over for the finish and lingers beautifully. Damn good!

12 oz. @ Naked City Taphouse. This brew smells fantastic! It ends up smelling more like cherries than it tastes, which is a good thing (I’m looking at you Sam Adams Cherry Wheat). It’s dark and thick and doesn’t let you forget you’re drinking alcohol. Excellent after-dinner drink.

Nc bing - licorice nose, cherry, a. Touch of cinamon and clove. Dark brown almost black no head. Some red hues. Medicinal up front - cherry. Licorice follows, then spice - clove, cinnamon. More cherry - sweet. Medicinal heavy soft carb. Good idea, moderate execution. 7 4 7 3 14
