On tap at naked city brewing. Supposed to be a slightly more belgian style than the DeSantis, but it was still a bit too sour for my tastes.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 killjoy966 (676) - Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2010
12 oz. draft @ Naked City. Delicious little abbey-style brown ale tastes smooth with a slight fruity tang in the finish. Tastes like a weak brown ale brewed with Belgian yeast which makes an interesting combination, but is ultimately unmemorable. Doesn’t smell like much and it was too dark to accurately define the color.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - FEB 14, 2010
Dull light brown with no head. The aroma is light, but fruity (apricot, cherry). Sweet, fruity and phenolic. Clean - no yeast. But it is not coming together, just an aimless mishmash of flavours.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (5458) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 23, 2010
Over ripe dark fruit, clove, banana, pepper, and a touch of cola on the nose. Pours dark brown/amber with more or less no head. Dark fruit, banana, brown sugar, cherry cola. Lingering over ripe dark fruit. Light to medium carbonation. Drinks nicely.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bvc (1109) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - JAN 21, 2010
Draft at Naked City. Pours an slightly hazed walnut brown with a touch of a ruby tint and a small egg shell white head. Lightly sweet with vanilla, touch of banana and cherry bubblegum. Bubblegum, wheat bread, pepper, touch of red apple skin with the pepper bittering lingering on the end. Body may be a bit thin and the carb a little much to take away from the flavors, but this isn’t a style I have drank a ton of.
