3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at naked city. Pours a unfiltered golden toffee with minimal head. Doughy darker English style malt nose with hop aroma that is subtle and on the stale piney soap side. Bittering up front, doughy caramel toasted malt, cleans up a bit and ends with a bitter slightly soapy finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at the brewpub. Hazy pale amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and citrus. Light to medium body with a mildly bitter herbal hops character with caramel and fruit in the background. The finish is lightly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bronzed body, solid, hop-lacey head. Muted hop nose, with a bit of cabbage. Bitter, herbal and vegetal body. Definitely an acerbic hop IPA as the malt backbone seems an afterthought and the palate is left to fend with a one-dimensional bitter onslaught.
