3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Super-dark, ruddy brown pour. Butterscotch, banana bread, and overripe fruits on the nose. Nice. Flavor adds booze, some brown sugar, cola, and fermented fruit. Jane called this one "the incident." I thought it might have been a bit much.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Big sweet treacle nose, herbal, sweet with phenolic yeast notes, bubblegum, alcohol, cola. Not my favorite. Pours auburn with a thin head. The flavor starts all treacle sweetness, pretty much cloying and syrupy followed by belgian yeasty spice and bubblegum notes, strawberries, alcohol. Not unlike cough syrup. Apparently this was a belgian yeasted brimstone and treacle. A nice beer turned to not my favorite by belgian yeast. My least favorite Naked City beer to date, but 1 in 30 aint bad.
