3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at NCBC. This one’s a bit unusual for me. Slightly hazy medium gold with loose white head. Big wet crackery nose, kind of tangy as well. Creamy medium body with light carb. Tangy, almost citric quality to the mid palate, lots of wet crackers there too. Somewhat corked finish (yes, I know the keg was almost certainly never corked).

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bronzed body decent head and with rather bizarre agave Tequila characteristics one would find unusual in most any beer. Peppered, spicy agave aroma with a crusty, bready, wetness to the body that is also accented by a an unusual agave undercurrent. I could enjoy a glass of this and appreciate its uniqueness while trying to understand how the characteristics came about, but definitely not sessionable stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice bready sweet nose with estery spicy yeast and a peppery alcohol and hop notes. Pours pale golden, thin head. The flavor is sweet with esters and phenols, bready malts, peppery hops in the finish. Slight earthy notes. Very well balanced.
