3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This definitely did not seem like a black ipa. I was thinking more porter like the last dude too. Nose is nice and roasty with soft chocolatey undertones. Pours black with a thin off white head. The flavor starts roasty, moves through some light chocolate sweetness and finishes dry and earthy. Tastes like a house porter. Nice and drinkable.

Pint @Naked City. According to the menu this is a black ale. Not sure how this is any different from a porter, which is exactly what it tastes like. Reminds me of Black Butte.
