3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Big chocolate and dark roasty malt aroma. The hops come through in the aroma and flavor. This is a big dark roasty Impy stout. Awesome flavors this also gives off a slight cream base from the Kahula. Super taste and finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle a few months old. Pours with a big long lasting head and lace. Aroma is big roast, espresso acidic, light raisins, Flavor is similar with coffee bitterness, sugar and Kahlua sweetness, light lactic sour throughout. Body is silty, full, lively, soft. Sounds like a bad idea but it works. The Kahlua is not pronounced or distinctly identifiable.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from NC. Very little head. Lots of dark roast coffee and char possibly from the oak barrels. It's taste is great on first taste and dissipates quickly. Some lingering coffee notes. Interested it trying the other versions of This that NC sometimes has.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours dark black with a small fizzy tan head that dissipates fairly quickly with some lacing. Aroma is chocolatey, roasty, some coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, chocolate, some oakiness. Light body for the style, but still manages to be somewhat creamy. Lots of carbonation is distracting. A lot of good things going on in this one, but they don’t really come together.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Charcoal black pour with a cap of light brown foam. Aroma has notes of chocolate mocha, licorice, espresso and oak. Taste is milk chocolate, roasted malt and white wine upfront along with some dark roast coffee, cherry and molasses toward the end. Moderately thick and creamy mouthfeel with more charred malt and oak in the finish. Although the French oak notes don’t always mesh with the traditional Imperial Stout flavors it definitely gets points for creativity.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Colour...nearly black with a thick off white head. Nose...smells like a White Russian! Creamy, milky, light bodied coffee. Palate... a bit thin for an imperial stout. Flavours are similar to what’s on the nose with more of the coffee-like thing going on, but all quite subdued otherwise.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Interestingly nice -- aged on Kahlua soaked wood. Indeed creamy. No roastiness. Effervescent coffee notes. Downside is just a tad boozy. B+

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour is pitch black with very little tan head. Smell is faint, bit roasty and a bit of creme. Taste is big, bold, and smooth at the same time. Cream hits towards the end, otherwise a big bodied stout. Roast in the middle. There’s a bit of alcohol heat and maybe a bit of choco. Very rich. Full bodied, but a bit more drinkable than a sipper.
