Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 6, 2008 (Bottle 34 cl) Pours a clear golden with a white head. Lightly sweet, malty nose. Medium body with sweet malts and brewing cereal. Very subdued bitterness. A very classical yet drinkable Pale Lager. 050508 omhper (12154), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 24, 2002 Golden colour. With Hansa’s lovely Urbock in mind it is disappointingly thin. Not much in the way of flavour or bitterness either. Not one of Namibia’s top beers. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Nov 29, 2006 courtesy of MadDan - very pale and clear golden-yellow colour; irregular little foam; shy touch of herbs and corn in the nose; some sweetness with a slightly harsh palate; quite dry and moderately tart bitterness; short corny finish - inhospitable Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Mar 14, 2007 Can from Shoprite, Port Elizabeth. Golden coloured. Notes of bread in the aroma and in the flavour. Some grass in the finish. Slightly sweet. Light to medium bodied. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA Jul 18, 2006 Almost exactly like Windhoek Lager. I can’t tell them apart at all. Enjoyed near Sossusvlei, Namibia, but available almost anywhere in Namibia and in parts of S. Africa. PilsnerPeter (2598), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 24, 2007 Can: Pours a yellowish golden with a fizzy white film for head. Sweet aroma of brewing flakes, corn mash and adjunct. The flavor has some sweet pale malt upfront, followed by a papery character. There’s surprisingly some peppery mild bitterness in the finish. Would be quaff-able on a hot African, sun-drenched day. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. With all due respect to Cu6a who rated this a couple before me, there certainly are lot of better beers than this. But for what it is, it’s all right. Decent clear golden appearance with a snow white head, and a mild aroma and flavour with no off-notes. Clean, refreshing - but also pretty boring. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Mar 10, 2006 Medium golden body with a fairly lasting white head. Aroma of malt and adjuncts. Taste is sweet, pretty thin and boring.
