Plum is a unique combination of a subtle plum flavor with mild bitterness from a perfect beer. It combines excellent taste with an elegant can, which contains a beer characterized by a dark amber colour. A low-cal beer.

Brun i färgen med offwhite skum. Söt fruktig karaktär med russin plommon och söt malt. Håller sig maltig och söt på slutet.

Pale yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of ginger, sweets, and butter. A flavor of ginger, sweets, ginger ale and candy. An imperial radler!

July 2008: Reviewed this in a Wetherspoons pub in London, first time I’ve had a cask plum beer. Hand pulled half-pint. Mid-amber in colour with no head, just a thin white collar around the glass. Sweet Vitoria Plum smell, sickly in fact. At first I really liked it, then the sickly sweetness from the aroma came into the taste and mouthfeel. It was just too over the top for me. The beer seemed to get sicklier and sicklier. Interesting, but not a session beer that’s for sure.

Can. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich plums, raisin, malt and caramel.

Suppose it’s nice enough but the plum character is way stronger than anything like hops, malt, or anything else that really resembles a beer. Just too fruity and too sweet.

Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. So perfumy and artificial all round, like potpourri. Just an all out sweetness, no bitterness, no body, no finish. Just about the only thing that resembles a beer is its colour. I struggled even with my 1/3 pint.

9th April 2008 Very sweet darkish brown ale. Very sweet and very plum fruity. A little bit of minerals and hops in the finish. Sweet!
