2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
From Edelweiss in Portland, Oregon--Poured a clear, bubbly straw golden body with a frothy white head. Decent creamy curtain left in glass. Nose of spicy European hops and dull malts/adjunct cereal grains. Flavor carries biting carbonation with same adjunct flavors. Not very polarizing to say the least, but, hey, another beer tried.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty decent malty light aroma. It seems to fit right in between a regular lager and a European strong. No funkiness, a little sweet. Drinkable.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2009 The aroma is sweet with malt, sugar, and paper. The appearance is amber gold with a thin head. The flavor is like the aroma and not good. The palate is thin. This is really not my thing.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pale amber colour. Big frothy head. Fruity, light citric aroma. Pale malty flavour backbone, feels light bodied at this abv-level. Fruity and lightly bitter from alcohol.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml can, nice rich froth, golden lager colour, head is offwhite and medium( it made it till the end) lasting, very nice strong hoppy aroma, flavour; you always feel the can if you dring canned beer, not so strong as an average strong lager(doesn’t feel so much alcohol), hoppy and resolute flavour, medium bodied and but a little (as I say it) raw, as if unripe fruit or underbaked chicken, but nice afteral, one of best Polish strong lagers.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
500 ml bottle. Pours light gold (but slightly darker than its Jasne counterpart). Funky malt aroma with a hint of sweetness. Metallic and oddly malty on the palate. Finishes thin and short. Forgettable.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Pours a pale gold color, lightly hazy (hmm). The nose is fruity with that typical blend of fruity ethanol (fusels?) esters from a high temp fermentation or just cheap husky eastern european malts. The flavor is a bit tangy and zesty with some decent hop bitterness and a light sweet malt and tonicy quality. The finish is average, strong. Meh.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours pale golden w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Froth recedes slowly to a thin sheet canopy w/ full lacing. Aroma of thick malt and aged liorice. Medium to full nectar w/ mellow residual effers. A big malty brew w/ a fruity, semi sweet character. Flavors of earthy aged citrus, red licorice, honey, and bruised banana. Finish has just slight acidic bittering. Overall: a unique brew w/ an old world appeal.
