I think this is the beer I’m rating. It just says "Zamkowe Beer" on the front and the ABV is 7% so I figured this has to be it. Pours a golden yellow with a short lived white soapy head. Aroma is dry and malty with a bit of a corn stench to it. Taste is dry as well with a malty zing on the first sip. rather sweet with a slight bitterness. Sugar, water, malts, slight corn taste make up this brew. Palate is really watery and sweet with the sweetness lingering for a while. As E. Strong Lagers go it kind of....Eh....Not the greatest not undrinkable. Average.

JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - APR 24, 2006
Light amber color with a diminishing off-white head. Dry grain and and sour-flower (petunias come to mind) aromas. Light chalky malt start with a full aluminum flavor that sets in mid gulp and follows through to the finish. A 9v battery kick seem to wipe the teeth off. A light nutty linger helps the last few moments, but in order to finish this one I must relive the shock. Not a complete drain pour as there are some malt components, just a few too many other things going on.

Ungstrup (29017) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 23, 2006
An orange beer - quite carbonated, so bubbly cling to the glass and it has a huge off-white head. The aroma contains primarily notes of straw underneath which the alcohol is noticable, combined with hints of metal and straw. The flavor is quite malty combined with some notes of straw, but then the sweetness sets in, and it is quite powerful. When the sweetness resides a bit, the alcohol comes along with notes of metal, leading to an end, that is slightly sour and quite dry.

500 ml bottle. Golden colour and thin white head. Sweet bready and slightly worty aroma. Light apple/pear notes. Flavour is bready and sweet with some light yeasty notes. Fairly prominent and sweet raspberry flavour with some light tartness. Light pepper. Pretty good and quite drinkable.

Looking like so many other beers in this category, one could only hope to taste something different. Unfortunately this beer doesn´t set itself aside from the rest of them. Ordinary in every category, this beer fails to impress me. Aroma reminds a bit of sunflower, which is the best thing I can say about this beer. It´s not bad, just very ordinary...

Purchased a bottle at a Gomer’s in KC. Medium gold colored body with a little bit of haze. The white head went away to a thin scum fairly quickly. The aroma was sweet raspberries with some cooked carrots and corn. The taste had some funky cheese rind with a little bit of potatoes and some bell peppers. The finish is like eating raw potato peels.

Sampled in bottles at 2005 Made in the Shade festival - Flagstaff, AZ, USA. A dark gold color with low carbonation, no freshness dating. Slight hop bitterness, slight fruity notes and fruity character. Early hop presence on tongue. Not a memorable experience.

luckygirl (1223) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 8, 2006
Had this at Vail Beer Fest. 2-oz sample in a snifter. Poured a clear, light, nuclear-yellow color with a small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing head. The aroma is pretty unimpressive: moderate notes of grain and light hoppy notes of straw with a pretty healthy whiff of DMS. The flavor matched the aroma. Lightly bittersweet up front with an average-length, lightly bitter finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was fizzy. The alcohol was well-hidden. Couldn’t find the dump-bucket fast enough for this one.

Can. Pale yellow. Very malty with a full syrupy palate. The alcohol is well hidden. Better than most in this category.
