Basically this is a typical Euro lager with a bit more alcohol. They all taste the same. Nothing special. It’s def drinkable. It’ll wash down perogies.

Bought this in Perth AUS at the International Beer Store. Label is different, with the title "Zamkowe Strong", a premium European strong lager, brewed by Brower Namyslow (7% alcohol). Poured a slightly orange amber with just a little haze, initial aromas of yeast and faint apple give way to sweet malt as it warms. Initially sharp, slightly bitter palate balanced by malt and smooth alcohol character. The best Polish beer I’ve tried yet!

Not a great beer, but its not very expensive either. With a decent body and a flavor that makes itself known, its an all around decent beer.

09.02.05 500ml bottle labeled Rycerski. Bit hazy golden pour with persistent small white head. Odd aroma is wet grain, toasty-malty, sweet and fruity like cereal with blueberries, light perfumes, and someting like vegetable broth. Huh. Herby flavors atop lots of cereal maltiness. Thin bodied but soft, very dry finish. At no point do I notice the big 7%. Worth the buck fifty, that’s for sure.

Pours a pale clear yellow with lots of carbonation and a foamy white head. Light crisp aroma of bitter malts and grass...not a bad aroma as I was expecting much worse. Flavor starts bitter with some slightly sweet maltiness and a crisp light finish. Overall, not much too it, but I found it to be a pretty enjoyable brew for a warm summer night with a sandwhich. I’d reccomend a try.

hmm, I have a different label the the alias. Poured a golden body with foamy white head. The first smell is like pizza, really. Well, taste is lacking in the mouth feel, there is a sour unpleasantness under the bitter malts. Every taste is just bringing pizza to the mind, and thus, the taste. I feel the need to order a cheese pie, .....

The initial scent was earthy with a slightly moldy aroma. A malty medium bodied taste follows, with a somewhat fruity sweetness (appple). Light finish and unique flavor with the malt and sweeteness noticeable. A little moderating of the temperature and the scent takes on dead flowers. Once again, the flavor follows, mellowing a bit and including a flowery taste to the sweetness, along with a fruity undertone and malt taste still dominating. I found it interesting and enjoyable - scoring points for creativeness.

500ml bottle: Golden hue with an initial large fizzy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of pale biscuit malt, a hinmt of rye, floral and grassy hops, and a touch of apple. The taste starts lightly bitter with a dash of spicy background. More malty towards the finish with a woody aftertaste. The feel is refreshing and give no notice of the 7% ABV hidden within, the finish was a bit too short however. This was a good beer and quaffable. I would drink it again under the right conditions.
