500ml can, nice rich froth, golden lager colour, head is offwhite and medium( it made it till the end) lasting, very nice strong hoppy aroma, flavour; you always feel the can if you dring canned beer, not so strong as an average strong lager(doesn’t feel so much alcohol), hoppy and resolute flavour, medium bodied and but a little (as I say it) raw, as if unripe fruit or underbaked chicken, but nice afteral, one of best Polish strong lagers.

Nice rich and dense froth, golden lager colour, head is off-white and medium in size, some lacing, very nice strong hoppy aroma. Flavour; you always feel the can if you drink a canned beer, not so strong as an average strong lager(doesn’t feel so much alcohol), hoppy and pronounced flavour, medium bodied, as if unripe fruit or underbaked chicken, but nice after all, one of the best Polish strong lagers.

Clear and crisp, a good Summer beer. Not so much a lager as it a heavy weizenbock. Lots of lemon throughout.

I found the overwhelming sense to be sweet. A nice enough and inoffensive brew but the lack of balance holds it back. The 7% does not dominate but is there.

Slightly clourdy golden colour with a large dense white head. Mild corn aroma with some sugars and some malt. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong malty taste with some sweetness and not much else. Aftertaste tastes of malt and some faint fruity sweetness (apples/pears). Overall, a decent beer...different than other Polish Lagers. I bought this 500 mL bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 01-November-2003.

500ml bottle: Golden hue with an initial large fizzy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of pale biscuit malt, a hinmt of rye, floral and grassy hops, and a touch of apple. The taste starts lightly bitter with a dash of spicy background. More malty towards the finish with a woody aftertaste. The feel is refreshing and give no notice of the 7% ABV hidden within, the finish was a bit too short however. This was a good beer and quaffable. I would drink it again under the right conditions.

Amber with a white foamy head. Nose of husk and toasted malts with some caramel. Honey as well. Bitter and a touch minty or piney. Medium bodied with a clean finish.

PorterPounder (5190) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 25, 2003
Pours light golden with pithy, soap-like head - not much lacing. Malty, wort-like aroma. Flavor has some redeeeming qualities, a bit too yeasty, but full of body. Hops are not very apparent and missed much. Too straight forward with the maltiness. Alcohol is very evident. Strong finish.

Pailhead (4413) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - SEP 29, 2004
Bottle: Aroma is malty. Fruity with a light pepper smell. A little citrus too. Pours a real dull yellow with a nice size white head with good retention. Not a whole lot of flavor, but what is there is sweet and all malts. No real detection of any hops. Maybe a little in the finish, but you really have to search. Very thin and watery texture. Very smooth. Very dry. Nothing about this really stands out. If anything, a little boring.

Nate (3549) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 13, 2005
Aroma of very hard or iron-laden water. Mild maltiness that gets sweeter as it warms. Mild floral hops, honey and brown sugar. A bit grassy and notes of broth. Hazy dull amber with thin white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with mild malt sweetness. Mild honey and some orange. A bit of carbonic acidity toward the finish before floral hop bitterness comes in. Watery sweet-carbonic after. Tastes a lot like a bock. Decent beer but rough around the edges.
