1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
The commercial description is as confusing as the taste of this beer. The aroma is sweet as expected with paper and malt. The appearance is amber with floaters and a thin head with NO FOAM. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. This is one to avoid.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
slightly hazy gold with a large foamy white head. flavors of light honey, tangy malts, hint of sour citrus(lemon), chewy caramel, and even some spice(clove?). a very nice pale.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a mid-sized, creamy/frothy, white head. Good retention. Mead-like aroma... wildflower honey. Flavor of sweet, pale malts... reminiscent of those old time, chewy, Luden’s honey cough drops. Crisp hop balance. Light-bodied with moderate carbonation. Short, crisp finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN (I think). Looks pretty nearly identical to the same brewer’s Zamkowe that I just had, giant frothy head leaving lots of lacing, atop a golden body...though this one is a bit hazier and darker....some small amount of sweet malt in the nose, a touch of old lemon, honey and grass....light, clean, crisp flavor, bit citrusy, grassy...somewhat lighter-bodied than the Zamkowe but overall just a touch more character with even a nice hint of sharpness at the finish.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yellow with an anti-freeze glow/haze and a big, cream-tinted white head that faded quickly to a film. The malts in this smelled really good... bready, almost "cookie" with an odd grape/caramel combo. Slight cardboard smell in the background. Flavor was lacking... bitter and sour with green leaves and a bit of lemon. Malts came out later... it was actually a little better as it warmed (which I’ve never witnessed before in a Polish lager). Palate held the essence of grapeskin, sour and dry with light astringency. This beer was not the worst. It started great but came up short.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Great big frothy white head. Slightly skunky aroma but goes away quickly to leave a light crisp grassy meadow aroma. Quite nice actually. Little floral also. Color is a light gold. Flavor is pretty weak with some cardboard, grit and a bit of corn. Dry and chalky palate. Finish is dry and parching in the mouth. Clean finish. Aroma is promising but falls pretty quickly after that.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Straw colored yellow with a tall bubbly foam head. Nose is straw, sweet buttered biscuits and light malt. Taste is semi-sweet malts, light grassy notes, some buttery notes and light citrus. Body is light and laden with carabonation feel. Finishes with light grass, buttery maltiness, light lemony notes.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sweet, thin, watery, no zest or fizz. Nice gold color with a tall head having decent retention. Maybe some hops at the back of the throat on the finish. Makes me write in phrases, not sentences.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pleasant golden color, decent stream of bubbles for a good head. Highly sweet aroma with a touch of hay. Flavor is also stunningly sweet, a touch of grain, and an almost sour finish. Why do I keep trying these Eastern European lagers?
