4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 tomhenderson (163) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 25, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Nice lacing and thin head atop an orange slightly hazy beer. A wallop of resin and citrus hops up front and through the middle. It’s all lemon and orange in the finish with a hint of caramel malt to balance against the resin. It has long been a fav at festivals for me.

A good session-able IPA. Tame hop characteristics with citrus notes. Well bodied and balanced.

Draft in a flight at the brewery. Nice bit of hoppiness to the taste of this one, though it’s balanced out well with the malts.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 bubbleflubber (1423) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - SEP 2, 2012
On tap at the Hickory Hops Brewfest 2012, this pours a golden orange into the glass, with a retentive head that leaves webbed lacing. The nose is fruity and floral. A very citric flavor palate ensues, with grapefruit and orange dominating. A nice bitter finish closes the pull. The mouthfeel is a little thinner than I expected, with the malt back not quite matching the cutting citrus and bitters. Soft carbonation helps to avoid a seltzer feel. Overall, very decent IPA.

Very easy drinking IPA. Sweet and bitter, halfway between earthy hops and citrus hops. Very clean and thick Mouthfeel but still light and easy

Thanks, Lee! Man, this was one awesome session IPA from the Bryson City posse. Bright orange pour with a moderate cloudiness to it that just screamed fresh as hell. Huge floral bouquet with bittering notes and a streak of malt to measure. But the huge, bright, fruitiness is what really dominates this beer, and that’s all to the good. Loved it.

Hands down my favorite IPA on the market. Lucky that I live so close to the brewery, just wish I could get it in bottles everywhere. Whatever hops they use to give that over the top citrus taste are certainly my favorite. These guys know what they are doing.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - APR 17, 2012
tap at the brewery 7/13/11.
hazy golden with a big off white head.
big citrusy aroma.... followed by dank, nobles/grass, pine, caramel and florals.
the flavor is the same but with an underlying sweetness. despite this it is crisp and easy drinking... goes down way too easy. 8/4/7/4/16

Pint at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Grass, orange, occasional biscuits. Tad hazed golden orange color. Good head nice.lace. Bittersweet flavor. Lite body, smooth mouthfeel, bitter finish. Pretty darn good. Aroma maybe tad better than flavor, but It’s close. I’m impressed.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (5413) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Damn fine fruity nose, hints of pale malts, a touch of caramel perhaps, lots of citrus and floral hops, pine. Solid hop aroma. Yes. Pours golden, nice head and lace. The flavor is nice and quenching burst of citrus, pine, and floral hops. Light malt base provides just a bit of sweetness and a little balance. Mostly bright and engaging with hops. Love the lower ABV. Drank the whole growler and felt great the next day. Good shit here!
