Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 Welcome Dinner - Asheville. Pours dark, brown-black with a foamy topping. The nose is heavy on the roasted malts and cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with burnt marshmallows and baking cocoa. Full in body with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with roasted malts, chocolate and more burnt marshmallow. Very decent.

Bottle shared at RBWG meet and greet. Pitch black silky body sits under a thick dark beige head. Aroma and flavor are roasty, vanilla beans, chocolate, dark toast and dark fruit. Good stuff.

Bottle @ Barley’s during the RBWG opening ceremonies. Deep brown with a tight tan head. The nose is burnt brown sugar. Runny caramel. Cow tails. Chocolate. Similar flavors. Hershey’s syrup. Accents of smoke. Burnt malts. Sweet caramel. Full body, oily. OK.

Bottle shared at rbwg. Thanks. Pretty solid impy here, if a little on the boring side. No added chilies. No coffee. No tequila barrel! Haha. Just kidding this is really well balanced ba impy with a light woody barrel character.

>> Clear ruby black. Medium to low foam. Taste is bitter, nice fudge and ice cream. Dry cocoa powdery, woody finish but not thin. Good stuff. Savory, soy salt nose isn’t too distracting over the chocolate ice cream. Pretty yummy.

Bottle - Bourbon notes to start, followed by chocolate and roast malts. Jet black with a minimal head. Roast malts, vanilla, chocolate and minimal bourbon in the flavor. Really nice and balanced barrel aged Imp Stout.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a large, creamy tan head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is oak, vanilla, bourbon, vinous notes, roast and chocolate malt, dates and prunes, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is dark malt dominant, bourbon and vanilla, oak, medium hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.
