Bottle at California adventure. Pours a dark orange. Thick white head. Scent of hops, some citrus. Taste is a nice floral hop. Strong hop flavor lingers for a while. Good beer.

Had this at Epcot center in Disney world. Good hop aroma, piney grassy aroma and taste. Not enough bit but overall a good IPA.

Pours a golden to dark yellow. Aroma is of lots and lots of hops! Taste is a smooth IPA, not an imperial IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark copper with creamy white head. Malty, sweet, caramel aroma with little hop character. Taste is malt forward and sweet then mixed with grassy, piney, floral hop character. Bitterness mid palate and finishes with slight hop bitterness that lingers but isn't harsh. Well balanced and hides the 9% well. Loses points for nonexistent hop aroma and slightly too sweet. Overall, decent IIPA and would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, caramel malts, and residual sugars. Flavour brings out resinous hops, caramel, and residual sugars - only a slight wine barrel quality to this. The 144 IBUs isn’t that revealing, as the barrels take away some of the barrels. Quite well-balanced, with the wine barrel aging taking away any residual sweetness, but also taking away much of the bitterness. Solid stuff.

HKdIPA (195) - HONG KONG - JAN 8, 2014
Big aroma of floral hops. Rich amber appearance with thin head and lacing. Taste is big, rich, boozy, super hoppy. Like a more full bodied double trouble.

Pours dark orange with a 2 to 3 finger of a white head. The aroma is moderate to strong hops, pine, herbal, citrus, mango and caramel, which for me dominates the beer once it starts warming up. The taste is bitter up front, fresh hops, tropical fruits and caramel. On the back I get more tropical fruit, herbal and florar hops and alcohol. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Overall, is a good beer, not the best IIPA I have had but still, is a good beer.

Can smell the fresh hops right away. Sat arts with some sweetness and then the complexity of the different hops hits you. Well balanced, and love the hint of oak from the wine barrels. Exactly what a northwest imperial ipa should be.
