@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (30:-). Rejält humlig, ganska söt och fruktig smak, en hel del beska. En riktigt god DIPA.

Medium offwhite head. Clear brown body. Oily resiny raisiny malt aroma with tropical fruit and grapefruit notes. Dry-sweet earthy resiny oily taste with minty tropical fruit and lime notes. Mid-to-full body. Slightly hot sharpish mouthfeel. Dry earthy tropical fruit and raisiny malts aftertaste with spicy grassy oranges notes. Really nice. Full of flavour, yet still drinkable. (0.355l bottle, at Tre Små Rum, Göteborg.)

Very dark copper and bronze coloured body with a hazy brown glow and a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, pungent grassy and piney hops with a lot of malt, a ton of sugars and a deep hoppy flavour. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong pungent hop flavours with a lot of malt, alcohol, yeast, grass and herbs noticeable - strong as hell. Aftertaste shows a lot of malt but even more hop flavours with some sweetness, some light nutty flavours and an earthy flavour that persists. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA with a ton of malt and alcohol notes with little hop flavours and a quite strong fruit and hop flavour. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased earlier today from BevMo in Mission Valley, San Diego, California on 08-June-2013 for US$6.99 sampled in my hotel room in San Diego, California on 08-June-2013.

Fruity, hoppy aroma. Almost honey-like in taste. Thick and sirupy. Much better than The other Napa Smith I’ve tried. Very good dipa with nice balance that I want again.

Amber, clear color. White head. Smell of hops, a lot of honey, herbs, grass, tropical fruit, citrus and caramel. A nice taste of marmelade, orange, caramel, dried fruit, pine and malt.

Bottle (355 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear copper, medium off-white head. Bready and bisquity malt aroma, somewhat stale, some alcohol, some piney and perfumy hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. >Semi dry, medium bitterness, a tad acidic. A poor effort.

Ar: marmalade, caramel, butterscotch, alcohol, deep, deep down in this maltageddon there is some hops, but they seem to have met their maker before they met the wort, still some grapefruit and resin. I would have pegged this for an English style barley wine. Still the aroma is not unpleasant. Ap: copper colour, medium off-white head. F: the maltageddon continues, butterscotch, caramel, marmalade, jam, dried fruits, extremely low bitterness for the style, the hops that met their maker early still manages to give a whisp of grapefruit, resin and pine, warming finish, bitterness does not last long to linger at all. P: medium body very low carbonation. T: either there is something wrong with my bottle or the brewer should be sued for false advertisement. This is not an IIPA it is a BW with a slightly different maltbase than usual.
