3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fattybladdy (199) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - FEB 3, 2013Pour from a 22oz, to enjoy during a Super Bowl power outage. Pretty good looking IPA, darkish amber. Taste is lighter than expected with a name like hopageddon. Tasting citrus, caramel, and hops. Not too much bitterness.

Bottled a few years ago. Don’t remember being too WOW’d, but remember it being enjoyable, only not being able to pick up much of what they were speaking of on the bottle. Should try it again.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 LoFi (1345) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 12, 2013
Bottle.
Quick rating.
Amber with off-white head.
Caramel, pine and resin, citrus, tropical fruits, quite mild and drinkable. Finish has a pollen dryness.
Not super hoppy or in your face bitter, but I enjoyed it.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Nekronos (3183) - Xalapa, MEXICO - MAY 11, 2013
INteresting but too bitter perhaps. Nice aroma of herbal ingredients and nice features there too.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 greenhorn1 (666) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle, black label. Funky smell, earthy. Flavor is somewhat strange too, pine, floral and musty. Strong boozy malt backbone. I was really hoping for a bigger hop bite, especially in the finish. Label claims 144 ibu but couldn’t detect it.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Strykzone (3814) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Bomber from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. It pours kind of cinnamon colored and has a nice fluffy off white head of two fingers. A citrus an caramel aroma. Thin lacing leaves wisps of foam. An aroma of citrus with tangerine. Caramel malts. Big bitterness that is almost tongue numbing. It is resinous and sticky. There are some big malts here and it is well balanced. Some pine is tasted fairly late. That hop bitterness is difficult to get through. By the way, I like this beer.

Clear amber color with ivory head. Pine Sol, caramel aromas. Medium body with average co2. Grainy caramel, yeasty flavors with some drying pine hoppage, mildly boozy finish====decent

Um? 12oz bottle, from Bytemesis, Thanks Mike. I don’t know what to think about this... barrel aged IIPA is an odd beast, this one looks real good that much is true but the flavors of 2 different wine barrels and all the mash up of hops gives it too much weird screwball flavors, solid malty backbone is definitely prevalent.. some may love this, for me it wasnt a hit.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Fritz123 (239) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle in Boca Raton, FL. American pint glass. Nice white head with somewhat short lifespan. Mild lacing. The color is a hazy amber-orange. Aroma seems complex. A mixture of heavy hops and malts along with the barrel aged aspects from the wine. Sweet malts, spices, pine and citrus aromas also come through. Taste is also complex with notes of malts, sweet malts, grapefruit, orange, pine, earth, herbs and spices. Mouth is smooth with a lingering bitterness. Alcohol is medium on the palate for a 9.2%.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 drjay44 (2131) - Salida, Colorado, USA - APR 8, 2013
651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, ivory head, with extensive sea foam lacing, over a slightly hazy, light amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is pine, resin, grapefruit, toffee/caramel.....taste is pine, pineapple, grapefruit peel, toffee/caramel, sweet throughout, ending with a lingering bitterness.....mouth feel medium to heavy, sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low. This is, as advertized, a hop bomb with all the lovely nuances of a large complex hop back bone. It is well balanced by the malts and as such is quite a nice creation. BJCP 9/3/16/4/7
