3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Poured a clearish red with a big soapy head. Nose is of toasted malt, sweet malt, and earthy hops notes. Taste is similar mix of bready, biscuity malt, with some sweetness and some slight hop notes. Finish is sweet and lightly hopped. Overall, an interesting and okay brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle pours a clear coppery amber body with a small beige head that drops into some patchy lacing. Aroma is malty caramel with hints of red apple and spicy hops. Body begins light medium but thins considerably as it warms. Taste is sweet caramel, balanced by spicy and floral hop bitterness and an earthiness that lasts into the aftertaste. A decent amber but not very exciting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Copper with a crunchy lasting foam. Light nose of dry spice, caramel and white pepper. Taste is the same, with a toasted nut and ginger note. Light-medium body is very sessionable, dryish and watery, with no notice of the 7.2%.

12oz bottle. a clear dark orange under a large, creamy, white head. aroma has a bit of nuttiness in the malts with some bitter hops. the flavor showcases a nice nutty, bready malt with a balanced amount of bittering hop for the style. drinks like it’s 5% abv. medium body. really good stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverages - 22 oz bomber. Dark orange pour, slightly murky, soft pillowy off white head with good lacing. Aroma has a hint of spruce, some sweet cherries. Flavor has a nice subtle bitterness to it with some citrus accents, a hint of caramel and of course some nuttiness. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Overall, decent.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
too big to be sessionable, and not good enough to want to sip on it for an hour. would have preferred a hoppier, much lighter beer to this grainy caramel fruit hop contraption.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle from Valley Isle liquors in Kihei, Maui. Poured an orange amber with thin head. Aroma featured caramel malt and some earthy hops. Taste was rounded with good malt and hop balance although the taste and finish were thin for a beer of this strength. Decent effort but really came off as a less than stellar American Strong that got re-classified as an amber to save it from a ratings beat down. Still, I did like it for what it was.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to bhensonb for this one - pours a turbid straw color with a thick, frothy, lasting head - this one should probably be classified as an American Strong - fairly yeasty nose, some oxidation, earthiness, stale hops, moderate sweetness, toasted bread - flavor is much the same - yeasty/bready, stale hops, medium sweet - quite a bit of earthiness - dusty basement - moderately estery - almost biere de garde-ish in some respects - a touch spicy at the back end - hard to classify, but pretty good.
