Bottle. Pours clear amber with an average, frothy beige head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (biscuit, hay, cookie, toast), average hops (floral, earthy, herbal), and average esters (apple/pear). Flavor is heavy malt (biscuit, hay, cookie, toast), average hops (floral, earthy, herbal), and average esters (apple/pear). Medium body, warmth, and carbonation, light creaminess with a dry and biting finish. Overall, a well-balanced beer that hides its alcohol well.

A light clear amber with a big frothy head and good carbonation. Flavors of light sweet malts and hops, with a little spicy bite. Smoothe drinking. Well made.

Amber pour. Nose is malty and grainy as hell. Corn, barley. Flavor is sweet, corn, cardboard, and lightly hoppy. Ok.

Smells of red malt, metal. Nice amount of carbonation, that was slightly red as well. All I can really taste in this one is some metallic and bad hop flavor. Boo, what a drain pour. I could barely finish. I think the lost dog got into the boil.

Hoppy, in a harsh way. Not what I was expecting. The hops have a hint of an unpleasant, caraway-like quality, and this dissolves into a more metallic finish. However, unlike some beers in which the first sip is delicious but the unpleasant tones grow upon drinking the whole beer, I found this one grew on me over the course of the bottle. There’s a cleanness and coolness to this one. It might make a better summer beer, but I had it on a cold November evening. I don’t really know what to compare this one to, but it’s not a favorite of mine in any category.

Pours amber with a thin wispy tan head. Notes of woody, herbaceous hops, grassy, vegetable (onion), acidic and tart citrus. Medium to full bodied, moderately resinous with lively, smooth carbonation.

This is a very cloudy amber color w/ a nice white head of tight bubbles and big stripes of lace. The nose is very malty but veering towards toasty warm biscuit aromas more so than deep, sweet ones. A bit of earthy hops float in the background. This comes off dry and highly carbonated at first but sweetens and coats the tongue a bit as it lingers in the mouth. I’d still say it’s a bit overcarbonated though and it does affect drinkability a bit. It finishes w/ a firm, earthy bitterness. This is not a bad amber, a bit uninspiring but decently put together.

Bottle. Poured a clearish red with a big soapy head. Nose is of toasted malt, sweet malt, and earthy hops notes. Taste is similar mix of bready, biscuity malt, with some sweetness and some slight hop notes. Finish is sweet and lightly hopped. Overall, an interesting and okay brew.

12 ounce bottle pours a clear coppery amber body with a small beige head that drops into some patchy lacing. Aroma is malty caramel with hints of red apple and spicy hops. Body begins light medium but thins considerably as it warms. Taste is sweet caramel, balanced by spicy and floral hop bitterness and an earthiness that lasts into the aftertaste. A decent amber but not very exciting.
