2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 bwa5879 (305) - Portage, Michigan, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Very hazy copper/brown pour with little to no head. Sweet scent, indistinguishable and watery. Medium mouth feel, a little tingly. Pretty light amber with high malt content. Finish is a little bitter and also watery. Somewhat bland but sweet/very malty amber. Definitely not on par with the other offerings I’ve had from this brewery.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ellolovey (265) - Georgia, USA - NOV 3, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber with a thin white ring. Aroma of bread and dark fruits. Very sweet on the nose. Sweet malts and toasted nuts dominate the flavor. A hint of spice. Not very balanced. Not any notable hops. Very malty. Hints of caramel. Strange tart but sweet finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 glennmastrange (1888) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - OCT 24, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of roasted and caramel, light herbs and dough for the yeast, with hints of date and brown sugar. Head is small, frothy off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy, light red/brown with some tiny particles. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A nice Amber Ale with a little extra oomph behind it.

Bottle. Pours a very hazy amber color with a small head. Sour in the nose, which is unexpected. If it’s hoppy, it’s some of the worst hoppiness I’ve ever experienced.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a dark amber red with an off white head and some spotty lacing, aroma is sweet with caramel and malt and a hint of hops, sweeter than I was expecting, flavor is thick and sweet, was not expecting this, its more fruity in the finish than anything, hops really aren’t all that present. Meh.

Bottle. Hoppy aroma and taste. Some caramel in the taste along with some zest. Bit of a mellow taste compared to what I expected and overall this is a solid beer considering the alcohol in it. 7.2% abv.
