3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a tulip glass. An almost transparent amber with a half finger of head.
Smells like a pine forest, lots of pine. Thereís some grapefruit and lemon backing it up too. Oh and the malt makes an appearance at the end... lightly caramel smelling.
The hops come rolling in strong and then quickly fade. It was like a big splash... and then itís gone. Kinda fun. The bitterness fades to a crisp malty flavor, not sweet either. Itís different and I like it.
At least moderate carbonation; fits well. Lighter body, a creaminess to it.
Itís a different IPA than Iím used to, but I enjoyed it. Itís not the "smash-your-face-with-hops" IPA, but a nice IPA that likes to be admired and enjoyed for its other attributes

2011 backlog. 12oz bottle. Pours clear dark gold/light amber with a thick 2 finger off-white head. The nose is sweet malts, floral hops and light citrus. The taste is caramel, ripe citrus, toffee and a lingering orange peel bitter finish. Medium bodied. Serviceable IPA. 3.3

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz Bottle. The pour was a murky medium apricot orange brown with an average (1-2 finger) off white creamy head that was mostly lasting, diminishing down to a thin film and small collar with fair spotty lacing.
The aroma was of a light biscuit malt, spruce and pine hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit), and a slight fruity ester (peaches and pears).
Taste was mildly malty sweet with a touch of caramel in the beginning, progressing with a mild fruitiness along with a nice hoppy bitterness and a citrus peel bite right at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration after the swallow, with a somewhat pronounced bitter citrusy taste left to linger.
Mouthfeel was just below medium in body with a lightly dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall I found this to be a very tasty and well balanced IPA. It possessed a very nice sweet fruity flavor and a somewhat bold citrusy bitterness which balanced each other out superbly, thus concealing the slightly high ABV completely... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Hazy caramel orange in color... Aroma of citrus hops, slightly sour, extremely sweet resiny malt nose... Flavor is metallic, bland, unpleasant hops, slightly stale throughout... Drain pour

Not real big on the IPA taste like other IPAs but still a good flavor, refreshing and very drinkable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a deep red to slightly brown and tan head. Aroma is very malt forward, slight hop presence. Some cantaloupe. Taste is stale hops, malt, syrup, wet hay and a off putting vegetable note. Yuck.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a darker than average reddish amber colour. Cloudy with light beige head. Darker scents on the nose than your typical IPA. Quite aromatic with american hops mixed with fudgy tones of caramel malts and some mango. Flavour is not entierly fresh, although this bottle had a long time to go until the best before date. Still decent with perfumy, flowery and citrusy hop tones in the mouth. Decent finish with light bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A- pours a cloudy orange hue with a chunky, off white head that leads tons of lacing on the way down.
S- slightly mettalic, orange peel, hints of yeast
T- mettalic, apricot sweetness lingers on the tongue, piney bitterness, more metal
M- medium bodied with decent carbonation
D- fairly mettalic, not very well balanced, not my favorite ipa.

355ml bottle from Systembolaget. BBE aug 2014. Deep amber, thick offwhite head. Looks great. Herbal, leafy, hoppy, caramel in aroma. Flavor has sweetness, herbs, berries, hops. Quite sweet, but I kind of enjoy this one anyway. Full bodied, ok balanced.

Not a fan. Thin head. Good color but sour aroma. Hoppy but not overpowering. Malt is barely detectable.
