Bottle courtesy of JohnCoctosin. Served in a tulip. Pours a clear dark orange color with a moderate off-white head that is fairly fizzy but sticks around for awhile, leaving behind some spotty lacing. The nose is malt with some very faint citrus character; mostly bread, though. The flavor is all bread and no hops, with a bit of oxidation there as well. Body is medium and chewy without any bitterness. Not a fan. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-16-2011

Bottle:   Amber, slight haze, large foamy sandy head, fairly nice lacing.   Pale sweet hop nose, minor sweet like malts as well.   Doesn’t have that strong earthy/soily nose I was expecting.   On the tongue it gets a little sweaty, very minor earthiness, with some musty hoppiness.   Not half bad, and certianly less grainy/earthy on the tongue than I was dreading.   Not as sweet as the nose suggested, but its still okay.   Decent hop punch to this one.   Finish is a little pithy, and short on sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Overall it was better than I expected.   The nose suggested a bit more sweetness than I got on the tongue, and the grainy/soily aspect was kept to a minimun.   Enjoyable, despite it needing a sweeter exit.

~Enjoyable aroma of earthy, floral, citrusy, and piney hops with strong bready malt character in background. ~Pours a murky dark orange color with long lasting creamy yellowish head. ~Strong earthy, woody and piney hop flavor with lots of bready malt character. ~Full bodied, creamy, medium CO2, lingering earthy bitter finish. ~When I think of Organic beer this is what I think of. From the earth. Really enjoyed this one. Not over the top like many IPA’s. Enjoyable drink.

330ml bottle. Cloudy amber body and a big off white head. Fudge, tropical fruits, grape peel. Some alcohol in the finish. Pretty light, almost a bit watery, on the palate, which propably makes it quite nice to drink served cold on a hot day.
