2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 adnielsen (3108) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle @ home. Not really looking forward to this after having the Red, which I detested but here goes. Transparent, light golden orange appearance with a small, cream colored head. Toasty malty, caramel, dull earthy, woody aroma. Fairly bland, toasty caramel malty, bready, biscuity, woody/earthy flavor. Bleh.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Blairgus (1019) - California, USA - DEC 21, 2011
21 Dec 2011, bottle. light yellow, clear, tiny, steady bubbles with frothy head. nose is weird spruce aroma that isn’t that great. thin/med body and surprisingly it is almost flat. odd flavor as well. sweet, rich malt, some faint spruce and a twinge of ivory or something odd. not a fan.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 unclemike (1363) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - NOV 24, 2011
pours clear gold with a large sudsy head. Nice yeasty/citrus aroma. The flavor starts very non-dimemo and finishes with an unpleasant hop flavor that is piney to the point of a soapy flavor. The mouthfeel is thin with heavy carbonation. An unpleasantly off aftertaste follows. Even though I enjoy heavy hops, this beer needs more than just bitterness to be good
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 5000 (3998) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Bottle:   Pale golden, fairly clear, moderate white soapy head, low carbonation, patches of lacing.
Dull hop aroma, a little cereal, cardboardish malts.   Low bitterness on the tongue, pale hop flavor,
cereal, cardboard. &Nbsp Not all that appealing.   Body and mouthfeel are less than stellar.   Honeycomb
cereal like finish.   Yeah, not even remotely entertaining.   Wouldnt stand a chance in the PNW in terms
of head to head Pale Ale.   Blech...
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 wedgie9 (1370) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Tasted on 10/9/11 from a 12oz bottle. Pours hazy burnt orange with an average off-white head that slowly recedes to thin, bubbly lace. The nose is caramelized, with malted milk, a hint of toffee, and some herbal, lightly bitter hops aroma. The flavor is malty with caramel up front, after which the pleasantly bitter herbal hops take over, with a hint of dough yeast. The body is light with average carbonation, and a medium, lightly bitter hops, and somewhat sticky finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Suttree (3766) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Caramel colored, thin schmear of foam. Smells like caramel and tofee, and tastes like it, too. Plus a smoky note, and a clean, lightly hoppy finish

12 ounce bottle. Pours an orangish gold with a nice white head. Aroma of malt and floral hops. Taste is slightly sweet malt, hops and some citrus notes. Enjoyable.
