Brewed to create the uniquely refreshing flavors of traditional Bohemian pilsner style beers, we add noble hops for a pleasing aroma. All together the taste is balanced and refreshing.

I agree with what the brewers say about this beer: nice noble (Saaz?) hop presence in a refreshing lager. A bit maltier than typical of the style, perhaps, but that plays to my taste. This tasty brew is above average, at least. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Pear. Pours a pale straw color without any head. Not much malty flavor for a pilsner. More fits a premium lager style.

On tap @ Provisions Market. Straw colored pour with a white head. Aroma is a bit vegetal and grassy. Sweet malt, bread, and grain. Kind of bland. Flavor is sweet up front with some bread and grain notes. Bitter grassy and vegetal hop flavors. Some water, a bit of earth, and yeast.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a lightly hazy golden body and a small white head. The aroma is orangey fruity, with a faint touch of pale malts. Rather boring, and that goes for the flavor too. There’s some bitterness in the flavor, else it’s the same boring pale malts and orangey fruityness found in the aroma. And there’s a touch of grass too. Medium to thin body, soft carbonation, at a low level. Superbly boring. 130807

Bottle:   Straw, pale haze, light carbonation, large frothy white head, nice lacing.   Soft straw/hay on the nose.   Musty start, a bit barnish, otherwise straw and hay.   Fairly smooth, moderate body.   Clean finish, lingering straw/hay.   Very shallow wheatiness to this one, which seems to bring up the body a bit.   Yeah, slightly chewier than most.   Average.   Lingering sweetness with this one.   Gets a touch corny as it warms, but not too bad.   Fairly respectable.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear yellow color with a big white head. It has a lemony/orange aroma with some noble hops spiciness. The flavor has grainy malt, lightly sweet corn and good noble hop bitterness in the finish. The carbonation was a bit low.

A prett damn lowly pilsener. Buttery, obtuse, no complexity whatsoever. Bland malts that just coast over the palate.
