COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Napa Smith Wheat beer has a light and clean taste that is characteristic of this type of style. We have added special ingredients to accentuate the aromas beyond the hops and malt to insure a spicy, floral aroma with a light crisp finish. Serve this with a grilled piece of fresh fish or pork chops.

On tap at California Cafe. Pours a golden pale with slight wheat haze. Head is white and leaves a collar. Aroma of wheat with some nice spice. The thin mouthfeel gives way to wheat and the spice is still there. The spice is generally nice, but as the late flavor coats the mouth there is an unpleasant hop bite. Not a bad offering for a wheat.

Standard wheat beer here. Yellow pour, some citrus some wheat. I’d say it is as refreshing as you would expect a wheat beer to be.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear goldenorange color with a small white head. Grainy sweet aromas are mixed with spicy ginger and citrus. Taste of wheat, hay, light spices. Overall, very light flavor. Not much going on. Mouthfeel is crisp, medium to light bodied

Bottle. Poured a cloudy straw color, with a large creamy head, light lace. Nose is wheat, ginger, and sweet malt. Taste is similar, with the wheat and ginger, but some breadiness and yeast notes as well. Some light fruit notes. Really not that interesting. Mouth was light and subtle. Carbonation was mild. Overall, an okay brew.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Light to moderate wheat aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. My expectations where not met.

Poured into a 12oz glass. Light colour, pretty clear. Head is white and maintains well. Aroma is wheat and fruity. Flavour is sweet, medium to full bodied, and a little more than average carbonation. Overall a good wheat beer. Found it at grocery outlet for $7.49, very good value.

12 ounce bottle - $2.49 at Hop City in Atlanta, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a nearly clear, golden-orange body with a smallish, tepid, white head. Smell: Weak whiffs of malted wheat, tart citrus fruits, and some stray ginger particles. Pretty plain all around. Taste: Uber-light pale malts and a soft taste of wheat, faintly sweet, and with a light underlying tartness. A bit flat in the hop department, with only the merest hints of spicy and citrus. Very low bitterness. The ginger doesn’t add much, if any flavor, really, but does imparts a tiny bit of that characteristic ginger sting. Thinning, watery finish that goes beyond being simply clean. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: Surely being a light and refreshing wheat beer doesn’t also guarantee blandness. Surely?! And the ginger-- they added a flavoring agent and the beer still comes up way, waaayy short.
