10oz pour at Never Stop in San Sebastian. Pours a hazy burnt orange with some creamy white head. Nose is very yeasty, plenty of butterscotch, some orange peel, a little bit of wet feet. Flavor tightens up, dried orange peel, cracker, straw, caramel, bread crust. Lightly astringent finish.

Appearance: Pours out a hazed, medium amber-toned body with a medium-small, but lasting, white head.

Smell: Hoppy notes of pine, grassiness, as well as fragrant, glistening orange and grapefruit atop the diversely bready, lightly caramelized maltiness.

Taste: Caramel and spiced brown sugar sweetening the fullish bready, toasty malts with the richness soon cut by the oily, scantly citric fruitiness of oily grapefruit and bitter orange. Also, a piney quality and some sustained grassiness. Moderate bitterness. Faint toasted almond on the back half as the beer warms a tad. A smattering of light esters. Herbal and citrus flavors linger beyond the long, dry, bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. On the livelier side of medium carbonation. A little perceived oiliness in the mouthfeel.

Overall: A good, hoppy brew from Spain, no less.

Cobriza con una buena capa de espuma color hueso, de burbuja pequeña y buena retención. Aromas florales. Cuerpo medio y buena carbonatación. En boca entra un poco acaramelada pero la amargor del lúpulo lo invade todo. Final seco y regusto amargo prolongado. Un cervezón!

24.05.2014, tap @ HaandFestival:
Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange, almost a little skunky, light malts, grass, hay, grain, nuts, hints of sulfur. Taste is slightly dry and medical harsh, light malts, hay, cardboard, bark, almond essence, old leafs, grass. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!
