Flaske 330ml. Gave fra Rune. Drukket i Skibotn 21 Okt 15. Dyp mørk rødbrun. Hissig. Veldig uklar. Lavt skum. Surølaroma. Smaken rabarbra & syrlig frukt. Litt tørr. Vel mye kullsyre. Litt bunnfall.

Backlog rating. Keg at CBC Covent Garden, London. It pours a dark copper color with minimal beige head. Aroma is sweet and lightly boozy with raising caramel dark chocolate and toffee. Taste is sweet and boozy with more dark malts caramel and chocolate. Silky bold body with soft carbonation. Overall, quite nice but a bit hot

Bottle 0,33l. Pours a clear brown. Aroma has dark malts together with hints of coffee and liquorice. Flavour has typical dark malty caramel, hints of tart, sour and sweetness and a bit of dried prune. Some more liquorice comes through in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear reddish brown beer, aery to creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet caramel, dried fruits, quite a lot of chocolate, slightly spicy. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, slightly sourish, lots of chocolate, slightly sourish, spicy, soft bitterness, bit dry, hoppy, some cocoa powder. Aftertaste: caramel, dried fruits, some mocha, spicy touch.

Bottle from bieresgourmet.be. Pours a dark cloudy mahogany-hued brown body with a small white head. Nose is caramel, grains, cream, nuts and hints of toffee, cookies and mild red berries. Taste is caramel, toffee, nuts, alcohol, biscuits and hints of burnt sugar and cream. Full body, medium carbonation. Nice enough barley wine with not too much avant-garde going on here. Not too much inspiration going on, either. Nice enough though.

Dark amber with tan head. Some gushing. Aroma is cherry, raspberry, caramel and some Belgian spice. Fruity and slightly acidic palate. Aftertaste is fruity, sweet, chocolate, leather, metallic, dry brett characters and floral. Overall: Very interesting beer. Is it infected, or have they intentionally used Brett? Well done anyway.

In bottle from BierCab Shop in Barcelona. It meets all the basic features/characteristics of a dubbel. A bit duller in terms of malt profile than I was hoping, and the alcohol burn is more forward than in the better executed examples. Nevertheless a very strong effort.
