Aroma is literally an explosion of hops, fruity, herbal and very resinous. In mouth the hops explosion becomes a green halo bomb with notes of roasted malts and licorice in the background.

MALTS: Maris Otter, Crystal 150, Carafa III.
HOPS: Columbus, Amarillo, Cascade, Pacific Gem, Chinook, Nelson Sauvin.

Botella. Deep dark brown colour, almost black colour. Very hoppy piney roasty malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. Flavour has piney fruity hops and roasted malt with licorice and some chocolate to it.

Sampled from a 33cl bottle from Prohibition Wines. Black with a tight tan head. Roasted malt aroma. The taste is dominated by intense hops with plenty of pine resin and grapefruit skin flavours. There is also an underlying toffee-like sweetness with hints of burned sugar. A strong, tasty beer with a powerful, slightly oily mouthfeel. Not easy drinking, but full flavoured and dense.

Dark brown to black colored, medium- beige head. Aroma is of some caramel and roasted malt, medium floral and citrus grapefruit hoppy aroma. Taste is medium+ sweet chocolate, some caramel, roasted malt, tropical fruit, citrus and floral hops, moderate aroma, bit alcohol, medium+ bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, oily. I’d say overcarbonated... (bottle, Who Cares Festival, Bevog Brewery)

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Black body with a massive beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of burnt toast, blackcurrant, rubber and blueberry. Flavour of Coca-Cola, berries and liquorice. Medium body with a smooth texture. Very fizzy. Overly fizzy but a pretty decent Black IPA.

McWorta (1522) - LUXEMBOURG - SEP 3, 2016
Deep brown-black with alightly tan fine poring head, good lacings. Aromas of tropical fruit, orange, passionfruit, green mango up front but then a burst of blackberry, spruce and spicey peppery notes enwrapped by light roasted malt bitter chocolate notes develop. Fine carbonation, lightly slick with a pronounced yet rather slender body. Some residual sweetness well enwrapped by fruity light resionous hop bitterness and fine acidity. Lasting hoppy roast malty finish.

The_Osprey (6556) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2016
330ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’Naparbier Back In Black’, 8.5%, BB Dec 2016. In all honesty, if I’d known this was 8.5% I probably wouldn’t have opened it tonight, as I’m already boosted. Pours opaque black with a huge dense foamy brown head, leaving full lacing. Aroma is pine-forward, musty, minty, socks, menthol. Body is very light, sprizy, quite foamy. Taste is menthol, coffee, earthy, mint flavoured Aero bar, mint leaf. An intriguing mix of airy but intense ashy roast and mint. A lot of fun, and doesn’t show the relatively high ABV.

Carbonatacion bastante alta. Cuerpo medio-alto.
