Enormous tan head over black body. Huge chocolate nose, some toffee, some pine hops. Very bitter and with lots of cacao character. Not smooth or balanced, but it is interesting and rich in flavour. More of a black IPA than a porter with its strong bitterness. Like our though! (33cl bottle from Beer City)

(33 cl bottle from Casa Evaristo; BBD: 09/14) Pours black with huge, frothy tan head that has good retention and lace. Aroma is chocolate with notes of herbal hops. Fizzy carbonation with slick texture, medium body and an astringent finish. Flavour is lightly bitter with a touch of carbonation. Too carbonated for my taste.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Big plop and loads of airy foam... Big airy but slowly changing dark beige to light brown foamy head on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of hops, citrus, pine, grapes, chalk, light roasty touch, herbs, some nettle, crispy hops and hop flowers, some light coffee tints and a sprinkle of cacoa. Flavours of hops, citrus, roast, good bitters, citrus fruit, some coffee, some chocolate, floral, roasted malts and herbs, some grain roast, cacoa and flowers. Tastes almost like a BIPA! Very nice! Aftertaste is bitter, roasty, citrus, hop flowers, some chocolate and some coffee. Low carbo, creamy close to siljy bit dry mouthfeel, full body and a creamy Light oily texture. Wow, this beer gets better and better. Way toneasy drinkable for 9%ABV!

On tap @ ’t Klooster. Mostly foam from tap, took multiple glasses and some time to end up with a somewhat decent looking beer. Dark with a tan head. Strange aroma of coffee, chocolate and spices. Taste is bitter, hints of coffee and chocolate as well. Reminds me of a dry-hopped stout. Nice, should definitely try this again someday.

Van de Tap @borefts’13. Zwarte kleur met een licht bruine schuimkraag. Ruikt en smaakt naar koffie, roosterig, chocolade, zoet.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with very huge, frothy to macropore, fully lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, a grainy coffee note, cautious cocoa overtones. Taste is minimally sourish, dry and roasty dark malty, subtle sweetness, dry hints of cocoa and coffee, bitter hoppy overtones; (way too) fizzy carbonation, minimally sticky finish. Really nice taste, sadly not fully accessible due to overcarbonation.
