I have had the bottle with a bit of aging, which was very good. The flavours have mellowed a lot and the Cocoa and coffee characteristics were bold, but not overwhelming. I barely noticed the alcohol, it had a great drinkability.

[ As Naparbier Black Rock ].
Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully to mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, chocolate, chocolate - cacao, light wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, licorice hops. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to waery, carbonation is soft. [20130927]

On tap @ Borefts 2013. A deep dark near black one this with a nice medium sized really serious lacing brown top. Smells of mild green banana mixed with softly roasted malts and a little bit of licorice and chocolate. Have to say that it’s not overly impressive on the nose, but still fair enough. The taste however is quite nice. Lots of lingering bitter dark cocoa and chocolate plates with a little bit of that green banana. The licorice is even more present in the taste, as is dark almost bitter coffee. The green banana is not disturbing me to much. Quite mouthdrying aftertaste in this one as well. Fair. 27.09.2013

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, along with dark chocolate. Sqweet coffee and chocolate flavour with herbal hops and a bitter finish

Enormous tan head over black body. Huge chocolate nose, some toffee, some pine hops. Very bitter and with lots of cacao character. Not smooth or balanced, but it is interesting and rich in flavour. More of a black IPA than a porter with its strong bitterness. Like our though! (33cl bottle from Beer City)

(33 cl bottle from Casa Evaristo; BBD: 09/14) Pours black with huge, frothy tan head that has good retention and lace. Aroma is chocolate with notes of herbal hops. Fizzy carbonation with slick texture, medium body and an astringent finish. Flavour is lightly bitter with a touch of carbonation. Too carbonated for my taste.
