Hop BOOM should be called. Extremely intense fruity aroma, very very tropical. Taste is near the same, very hoppy, medium to full body, pine and tropial fruits. Palate destroyer aftertaste.

Hazy orange color with medium white head that has really good retention for being such a high ABV beer. Aroma is a cracker, Hop explosion, really intense tropical fruits (mango, grapefruit, pineapple), citrus (orange peel), resin and pine needles. Medium to high body and low carbonation. Taste follows the aroma, extremely hoppy, sweet citrus and tropical fruits, pine and a good resiny/caramely backbone that gives the beer a good balance. Alcohol is extremely well hidden, only present on the throat and stomache heating, but not explicit whatsoever. Dry finish with a really sharp long-lasting bitterness.

Murky golden brown color. Aroma is sweet fruit, booze. Taste is sweet fruit and honey, then hops bitterness that I think is on par for an IIPA, not super bitter, boozy bite. It’s a lower-end good IIPA in my book - a bit too cloyingly sweet for me. Worth trying it if you find it, though, in my opinion.

I’m not really an IPA person, even less so a Double IPA person. But one thing this beer does that many of it’s kind don’t do is match malt body and flavor with outrageous hop flavor and bitterness, along with a fairly complex hop aroma. Despite the substantial ABV, the beer still has plenty of residual sugars to keep the high bitterness in check. Finishes clean. Very intense -- I can’t drink more than one bottle in one sitting! A fairly complex 2xIPA.

Super hazy golden and honey coloured body with a muddied light brown glow and a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pineapple, passionfruit, earth, caramel, caster sugar, icing sugar and a bunch of alcohol. Full-bodied; Super dense hop flavours up front with a ridiculously large alcohol bite and some honey coupled with perfume. Aftertaste shows quite a bit of piney and herbal hops, but even more alcohol and malt body with the honey and sweetness definitely there as well. Overall, a very strongly hopped beer, but also with a lot of alcohol as well, a lot of bitterness and a rich sweetness as well. Interesting and not one of my favourite Imperial IPAs, but not a bad one in all honesty. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 18-July-2014 for US$6,50 sampled at home in Washington on 05-September-2014.
