Heavy alcoholic burst followed by plum and pumpkin notes that soon are replaced by chocolate and coffee flavors. A smokey tobacco note comes retroactive.

Drank with Marijn 18-8-2015 while hanging out at my place. A nice beer. I like the thick, oily body. Coffee taste is apparent as well as the chili, which makes for a beer with a above average intense taste and a dry, spicy finish.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle camping in France. Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma is very spicy, cacao, mole, chilies, tobacco and roasted malts. Flavor is quite bitter and spicy, with a slight afterburn. Really powerful stout, and even with the habanero, still really well balanced. Great brew.

Tap @ BierCab, Barcelona 21/06/15. Pours a dark brown black, with a nice latte-colored head. Aroma is light roast, light earthiness, strong tar, some smoke. Taste is semi-sweet, roast, coffee, chocolate, tar, light smoke, light spiciness. Full, syrupy, burns at the back of your mouth. Very nice.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Purchased @ Malt Attacks. BBF 04/2016. Awesome label. Black, extremely dark brown & basically no head. Nose is roasted, big umami, soy sauce with a somewhat odd vegetable sweetness, faint vegetable pumpkin sweetness, more soy sauce, light vegetable habanero,.. Taste rather big on roast, burned malts, touch charcoal, ashes, thick soy sauce, touch burned coffee, umami, huge roast, some chocolate syrup in the back, light sweetness becomes more overt after a while, touch brown sugar sweetness, light chocolate, possibly some faint sweetish pumpkin, some odd vegetable sweetness but nice green jalapeno burn in the back,… Hoped for more sweet spices sweetness here like I am used from USA pumpkin beers. This is so big on roast & umami, jalapeno is good here. Not as awesome as a had hoped, far too big on umami & burned / charcoal notes for me. Jalapeno is apparently a good chili to use in beer for spiciness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33cl, a dark beer. Nose is intense on dark malt and smoked notes, vegetable touch. Beer is very oly, intense sweet and roasted notes, body is on smoked, vegetal and alcohol like. Very intense, dark chocolate, dry finish with intense grassy bitterness. Finish is peppery which grows on chilli and quite spicy then.

Petroleum beer. Strong black color, strong aromas, strong taste and strong mouthfeel. This beer is STRONG.
Aromas: Chocolate, coffee but dry fruits and some spices as well.
Taste: Very intense bitterness modulated by the sweetness. For me it is too bitter.
Mouth-feel: full body, high carbonation and a very special hot sensation because of the chili. The high alcohol degree is hidden by the strong mouth-feel and taste.
This beer is a beast. Very special and high quality but too strength for me.
