On tap at BBF’12. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma is very herbal, almost plastic and rubber-like, floral. Flavour is light sweet, herbal, plastic, bitter, light floral, light lemon. Didn’t really like this. Light-bodied.

Keg @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s light gold with a small white head. The nose is strong sweet herb garden and grass. The taste is very strong herbs, huge medicinal garden patch sweetness. Some honey and yeast. Very interesting, but a small pour is more than enough! The moosegrass dominates the taste. Not particularly balanced. Overall, a novel idea (sort of like a strong herbal tripel) that doesn’t quite come off.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20121125) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, berries, hint of tartness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, caramell, berries, malts, hint of tartness, moss and quite low bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness, spruce needles, moss and low bitterness. A very different brew but also a tasty one.

Tap at Borefts 2013. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is rich malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a nutty hoppy bitter crisp sharp palate. I didn’t dislike this beer but it’s a little metallic too and not too dissimilar to some other beers that have a similar style and have been marked down because of the brewer. Yes, it’s Narke and they are very very good, but this is nothing special.

Tap @ SMÖF 2012. Pours pale amber with a nice bubbly off white beigish head leaving some lace. Aroma is odd chemical soapy spicy and malty. Flavor is also chemical malty and has a good bitterness. Finishes shortlived bitter malty.

Borefts’ 12. Clear golden yellow colour with little to no head. Smells fingerpaint and reminded me of kindergarten. Tastes fruity, playdough and hops. Fizzy carbo, medium body.

Draft @ Borefts. Aroma is spruce, wet forest, light burned caramel, touch of spice. Flavour is quite malty, light roast with loads of caramel and some herbal notes.

Draft @ Borefts 2012 // One of the more ’special’ Närke brews. Apparently moosegrass is the special herb that I was getting, I knew that this had to have some kind of Swedish unique herbs that I have never heard off but obviously couldn’t guess what it was. Is that even like eatable? Bright hazy golden with a decent neatly lacing white head. Smell is quite herbal, hard to pinpoint what, it is moosegrass apparantly but strong sharp vaguely familiar herb but you cannot pit your finger on. both sharp and sweeter qualities blended with some sweeter lemon. light sweet grains. Taste is as someone pointed out - indeed - huge jasmine,.sweet citrus, heavy herbal, yeast, spices, lemongrass and lemon zest. bitter in a spice way. Light easy to drink, one weird session beer, it such a weird flavor but works at the same time - hard to say what to do with this one....

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours a clear and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt and hops with flowers and tropical fruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.
