Pours dark copper brown with a small tan head. Nose is caramel, bacon, smoke, peat and wood. Taste is sweet and bitter. The mouthfeel is sticky and has a heavy body with a long finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at Haand festival 2012. Dark red/brown body, small offwhite head. Low carbonation. Smoked aroma with red fruits and ash. Taste is smoky too, with malt, burnt wood, fruity hops. Leaves a smoky bacon aftertaste, making me want to have some bacon.

Aroma is smoky with tar, some salty licorice and hints of ash. Flavour is rather smoky with woody notes, some licorice and ash. A bit sticky palate. Very good!

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Murky, dark brown color. Dense beige head. Aroma: leather, and that’s pretty much the whole smell. Retronasal there’s more to it, smoke, sweet chocolate, hint of lactose (?). Flavor is medium to heavy sweet with leather & smoke. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Finishes with leather, roast & bitter

Aroma is smoke, leather. Very fine bubbles, thick tan head. Velvety mouthfeel. Amber, translucent. Taste is mineral and malt, but surprisingly not all burnt. Very pleasant.

Draft @ Borefts. Aroma is smooth smoky malt, some caramel. Flavour is smooth caramel, touch of smokey ash, roast and more. Great beer, lazy rate.

Sampled at SMÖF 2012. Pours copper with a small white head. Smells smoky caramel malty. Tastes sweet roasted malt with a similar finish.

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours a mostly clear, bright ruby with a creamy, white head. Big smokey malt nose with some ham and berries. Big sweet flavor with heavy smoke, light dirt, toasty bread, brown sugar. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sturdy sweetness to finish with strong smoke, toasty brown sugar, light ash. It’s a big, fairly sweet rauchbier, but the overall character is really nice.

Tap @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep amber with a small white head. The aroma’s of smokey wood, dry haystack, plenty o’ ham. The taste is more sweet ham, honey, wood. Obviously there’s a hearty amount of smoke too. Some marzipan. Soft palate. Overall, not bad for a smoked beer. Man, these Swedes love their smoke!
