3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. This is pretty hardcore stuff, with a very intense aroma of Vosene shampoo/kerosene/tarmac and then a very peaty smoke flavour really dominating the maltiness. I have the ABV down as 5.7%.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
[on tap at EBF 2008]
Slightly bacon aroma and peaty with an tiny bit of caramel. Brown with a white ring and almost clear. Plenty of peat smoke in the flavour that sort of becomes hockey rink ice, but pleasantly so, finishing with base malt sweetness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation and a smokey and bitter finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
EBF2008. It’s a beautiful, red copper color and the head is creamy. The aroma has a nice smoke note and sweetness. The flavour has sweetness, notes of smoke and bacon and malt. I love a smoked beer, but when smoke is combined with sweetness, then IMO it isn’t nice. This beer is close to too sweet.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Half, draught, upstairs at Den Tatoverede Enke. Clear mahogany body over a fading, off-white head. The pour releases a bacon-like smell. Smoked flavour sustained by a hint of sweet, dark malts. Dry texture (Copenhagen, 19.09.2008).

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Stockholm beer festival. Tasted against Helsinge rököl (HR). This beer have not as apealing foam as HR but the same nice deep amber color. The aroma is brutal compared to HR. Much smokiness probably from Gottlänsk smoke malt. The smoke is also clearly present in the taste but here it is softer. This and a nice body makes this the better of the two smoke beers i had at the festival.
