2.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draught at borefts 2011. I like beers with a smoked aroma, but this was a bit to much smoke. Well actually mostly smoke and nothing else. I would imagine that when one uses a water pipe and after smoking drink the water it would come very close to this...

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and kajser27. Dark amber coloured, medium sized beige head, pure peaty nose. Toasted malt, heavy peaty, smoke, notes of fruits and smoked bacon with light acidity near the finish. Not bad at all.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Unclear, deep amber with red hue, medium frothy beige head. Aroma is of very strong peat, burnt plastic, some smoked meat. Taste is medium sweet malt, some caramel, very peaty, again burnt plastic, burnt notes, some smoked meat, medium phenolic smoky and roasty bitterness, dry finish, some acidity, strong peat aftertaste. Medium bodied, average carbonation, bit creamy. Way too peated...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
HUGE thanks omhper for bringing this - one of my favorite breweries! Shared with ogivlado and kajser. Murky ruby-brown body, small, lasting off white head. Huge smoked aroma, peaty, salty bacon, light plastic, fresh. Lovely bacon notes! Earthy, smokey taste, heavy flavor on a medium to light body, which kinda does balance them out, ashy, roasty, peaty, wow! Salty bacon continues on into the taste. Vague herbal/fruity touch underneath. Superb, just superb, unusual even for a smoked beer, drinkable, remarkably drinkable for both the taste and the style. Fantastically crafted beer!

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A beautiful strong smoky aroma, a la Alaskan Smoked Porter. The wonderful aroma led way to a far too sweet body unfortunately. Forced to drink at a very slow rate. It is very smoky and peaty and just too sweet. Once is enough for me. I got my trades all mixed up but I think this one was courtesy of Nische. Thanks bud!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Uff, that one was... special, that’s for sure. Pours a hazy brown color, topped with a medium sized small foamy head, off-white. Intense smokey aroma, wood, bacon - all together strong and just too much. Taste is similar. Strong herbal bitterness, juniper presence easily felt and I’m no expetr. Smoke and bacon again, going into the aftertaste. Light body, but just not for me. Terrible

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle bb 05/16 from my EU Local Swap 1/2016 sender omhper, thanks!
Dark copper body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of dominant peat, wood, some spices, some caramel.
Tastes also of dominant peat, smoked wood, spices, caramel, some dark fruits.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smokey, wooden, dry, a bit sweet, a bit fruity.
OK, but not my cup of tea, as I don’t like peat. The nose is almost only peat, taste is a bit more varied, with some dark malts and fruit notes. If you like peat dominated beers, this is perfect, but I’m not one of those people.
