Clear amber colour, firm off-white head. Spicy aroma, herbs, perfume, musk, quite floral. Light bitter flavour, light sweet, perfume. Finish lots of perfume. Interesting brew with a brilliant although somewhat disturbing presentation. Nice.

Urinal pour at Borefts ’13, 28/09/13. Clear dark golden with a moderately sized off white head. Nose is malty, fruits, light caramel, earthy, touch herbal, sprucey wood. Taste comprises light caramel, bitter orange, herbal, spice, pepper, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with a little bitterness. Ok drop.

Borefts Bier Festival 2013. Pours a brown colour, taste was peaty smokey and whisky like, not sure about tasting the Beaver gland, although I wouldn’t know what this tastes like

Draft @ BBF 2013. Pours clear copper. Aroma is watery, some citrus, bread and malts. Taste is light bitter and bready. Somewhat sweet. Medium body with soft carbonation. Didn’t taste anything beaver-like, which probably is a good thing.

Tap @ Borefts 2013. Pours a clear brown beer with a very small, off white head on top. Aroma is very faint, light smokey and light caramel. Flavor is very faint as well, light sweet and watery mouthfeel. Interesting brew with interesting ingredients, but not very impressive.

From the urinal @ Borefts 2012. Near clear woody-brown in color with a small bubbly and sidesticking off-white top. Some smoky hints on the nose. Light old-fruity, peaches and caramel. Also a faint tone of weed and needles. Strange stuff. It’s sweet and absolutely horrible! Oh my! Old toilet paper flavored puss. Not often it crashes as badly as this on my taste buds. Can a normal person drink this? I sure as hell cannot. What a horrible experiment... Think perhaps they might have used the wrong urinal in my sample. 30.09.2012

On tap @ HaandFestival 2013. The infamous Bäver, at last! Let’s see what all the fuzz is about. Pours a deep clear amber body with a medium white head. Aroma is resin, smoke, wet moss, something animal-like and quite perfumy that I can only assume is the professed "castoreum" (secretion from some kind of beaver gland), forest-reminiscent wooden notes, hints of red berries and grass. Truly original, although very strange. Taste is much as the above description, with smokey berry tones in the aftertaste. Full body, medium carbonation. I actually quite liked this, despite the undeniable weirdness that seeps from every drop. :-)

Pours clear dark amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, smoke, spices and floral. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a caramel, smoked, spicy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
