JW pulls out a GROWLER of this pre hunahpus day. SAY WHAT? Yeah. WHAT THE HELL. Black pour, brown head. Flavors are big and bold, chocolate, coffee, ashy, charred wood, a bit dry on the finish. Roasty goodness. What a treat to try this!

Sampled at the CCB/RateBeer/Pre-Hunah Tasting (Tampa, FL). Pours a richer blackish pour, dark with some ruby brown red edges. A frothy tannish head. Gentle roast, toast, and coffee. Some cocoa, gentle dryness, hops and bitterness. A bit roasty. Initial is dry, roasty, some gentle smoke. Some middling body with roast, dryness, some cookies and bakers chocolate. Middle is a bit sweeter, biscuity, toffee. Some dryness, roast preach into the backend and finish dry, roasty, gentle spice. Mellow hop presence makes an appearance. Solid.

Black with small of white head. Aroma: chocolate, coffee, sweet, maybe some smoke. Nice porter qualities. Taste: bitter grapefruit?, chocolate, sweet coffee, nice and round! Good brew!

Cask. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, earthy hops, red berries, bread, biscuit, coffee and toffee. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of licorice, chocolate and red berries. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice and balanced, great stuff.

@BBF12. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, light coffee and light chocolate. Flavour is roasted malt, sweet notes, liquorish and chocolate

Poured black with almost no head. Roasted malts, ash, coffee with hints of toffee and dark fruits in the aroma. Alcohol well hidden, decent.

On tap at Borefts 2012. Served too cold. Excellent beer, world class. However, slightly less impressive than the Konjaks Stormaktsporter. Pours black with a small, beige head. Soft, creamy and delicious.

Black. Small frothy tan head. Some lacing left behind. Peppery malt aroma. Malty flavor with some chocolate and not much else. Similar to the Dricka.

Draught @ 3 Små rum. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a creamy and frothy mocha head that is very slow to dissipate while leaving a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, liquorice fudge, lemon zest, dark bread, moist tobacco, dark roast coffee, red currants, cherries in brandy, dark chocolate and mint. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, tiny acidic, malty and fruity with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, dark grapes, cherries in brandy, dark bread, bitter chocolate, lemon zest, burnt cereal and canned mandarin oranges. Mouthfeel is round, tiny fruity tart and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and tiny fruity tart with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, lemon grass, red wine, lemon zest, wood, tamarind, dark bread and hints of liquorice root. Tasty not too complicated stuff...
