Tap @ Bishops Folkunga. (From notes) Black with a small beige head. A bit subtle aroma of roasted and a bit burnt malts, coffee, some chocolate, wood and hops. Taste is first sweet with coffee, chocolate and a bit of dark fruit. Then comes a quite burnt woody dry bitterness. Finishes very dry and bitter. Medium to a bit weak in body. Very mild carbonation.

Bottle into a Närke tulip at the brewery with Hans. The beer pours a dark brown with a very light tan head about two fingers of light lacing...The aroma is light not typical porter smells of coffee or chocolate, mostly very fresh hops, and a light metallicness at the finish...The taste was light, but easy to drink, not much flavor a hint of hops but that was it. Hans said it was old so we moved to the next beer. I didn’t think it was bad so I’d love to try a good one.

On tap at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa, Rome. Black with cream head. Blimey O’Reilly, this is strongly bitter with a coffee roastiness, slightly powdery on the tongue, coal tarryness then bitter fruit. The parts come together to smooth out into a very drinkable beer. good stuff.

Tap @ Pikkulintu.
Pours a pitch black colour with a foamy, beige and patchy head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye and sweet caramel. Flavour of strong roasted malts, dark chocolate, ryebread and mild hops. Full bodied, round mouthfeel and dryish finish. Well done.
