4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 omhper (17478) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 28, 2008
Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Black. Chocolatey nose with some light citrus behind. Dry with soft, rounded mouthfeel. Slim and appetizing, yet firm and shapely. Flavour of cocoa and grapefruit. Finishes with above medium bitterness. Very quaffable and perfectly balanced. Another superb beer from Närke!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 joergen (17353) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 9, 2009

Roasted and dry hoppy finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2009
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm Dark brown color with red shades, big head. It has a strong aroma of chocolate malt and some cardboard too. Dry mouthfeel, strong roasted malt flavor, with light caramel and chocolate; and the roasted malt is even more in the final, too much for my liking; this covers the hopping. Not bad, but not my style anyway.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 FatPhil (7498) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 25, 2009
Draught (Akkurat)
Anna says: Opaque dark beer with beige-tan head. Smells roasted - some coffee and maybe ash. But not a big aroma. Taste of roasted malts in the chocolate or coffee camp, again ashy but not unpleasantly so. Nice hops and well-balanced. Heading in the direction of ’big beer’ but isn’t quite there. Then again, it’s 4.2%. Unusually, Phil did not
share this.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Svesse (5197) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 12, 2009
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 Jan 2009) Black colour with frothy, brown head. Roasted, malty nose with dark chocolate, coffee and hints of wild berries (blueberries, juniper berries). Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee and a perfectly balanced cocoa bitterness in the finish. Medium body, smooth, seductive and almost perfectly balanced. Another brilliant effort from Närke with loads of taste even at this fairly low abv. In short: coffee and chocolate in harmony.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2009
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours out in an almost black colour with a rich rocky and lasting tan-colored foam. Crisp and aromatic aroma of coffee, crackers, milky chocolate, mild lemon and brown sugar. Light-bodied with crisp hoppy notes of lemon, minerals and grass sweet undertones of coffee and milky chocolate. Long medium-bitter finish of lemon, minerals, cocoa and toasted malts. Another winner from Närke!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Frovigalning (2028) - Örebro, SWEDEN - APR 30, 2009
Draught at Akkurat. It had a nice big dark ice cream looking foam which left allot of lacing. Smelled of smoke and tasted first of smoke and then ham. Had an dry, oily, lean and smooth taste but it was a bit bland and watery at the end. A pretty good porter..
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hirigalzkar (1824) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 18, 2009
Draught at Akkurat. Black color. Big, thick and long lasting foam. Roasted aroma. The flavor is kind of creamy (milky) with the usual roasted tones and a small hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jonte (1334) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - NOV 27, 2008
On-tap. Örebro Whisky & Beer Festival. Dark brown colour. Rosted and very hoppy. Coffee, licorice, citrus. Overall very hoppy for a porter, but still with a roasted finish. Bitter but very drinkable.
