Draught at ÖÖWF 2012 cons 2012-11-16 Örebro AR: caramel, fudge, AP: reddish amber hazy, amber frothy cream brown head F: woody, some odd sweetness - syrup???, caramel, wee dry herbs

Poured with a golden color and a small, off-white head. Forest berries, honey, hints of caramel in the not so complex aroma. Medium body and carbonation.

Sampled at SMÖF 2011. Pours amber with a small white head. Smells hoppy and sour. Tastes sweet hoppy and pine needles with a similar finish.

Draught at Bryggerifestival at Malmö Brygghus. Clear orange-red coloured with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma of caramel and grass with notes of spruce. Fruity flavour of caramel, grass and spruce with notes of hops. Hoppy finish.

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. It’s a lightly unclear, amber colored beer tpoped by a small, dense, beige head. Sweetish and faintly meaty aroma with a forest-ish hint. Both aroma and flavor a bit dull I think, but there’s sure some forest present. The flavor has a caramel maltyness in the in back, and a forest touch up front, but as mentioned, rather boring. Full body, soft and smooth on the palate. Some bitterness in the finish. Boring, but sure drinkable, and it deserves the name. 120504

@BBF12. Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is malt, toffee and pine. Flavour is caramel, flower, pine and fruit.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120817) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours had malts, spruce, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had spruce, sweetness and bitterness. The beer was very sweet but the spruce sprout flavours balanced it quite well towards the end.

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours clear, ruby-gold with a light, creamy head. Mild herbal nose, some bready and sugary malts, caramel. Big sweet flavor, faint tangy berries, light dry and sugary bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with caramel, orange citrus, bread, some herbal hops. A bit too sweet. Meh.

Draft at Haand. The spruce dominates the aroma, while the taste is sweet and syrupy. Not bad.
